Recently I needed to create a "banner ad style" image for a web page. As I browsed around the web looking for a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing, it soon became apparent that it was actually quite hard to find good examples. There sure are a lot of text ads out there now.

However, I did manage to find a few samples to help me out, and so for future reference I thought I'd archive them on a single page. Hopefully, they might prove useful to someone else searching for some creative inspiration.

Sidenote: it certainly was weird surfing the web actively searching out ads ("Hmm, which sites have the most ads on them?") - hopefully I won't have to do that again.
