Varanasi in India is a pretty amazing place. It is best seen from the a row boat on the river at 6 a.m. in the morning as the city is waking and mist still hangs over the water.

I visited Varasasi when I was a kid, obviously didn't notice the finer details as an adult would but your post brought back memories :)

It was a truly memorable experience, as was my whole trip through India - which still remains one of the favorite countries I've visited.
Hard to believe it was 10 years ago already...
