Given how common requests for LinkedIn recommendations are and how devalued their currency has become, I've thought for a while that it would be helpful to have a tool to generate these automatically.
I guess that's another project to cross off my to-do list because I just came across the LinkedIn endorsement generator.
Here's how I'd use it to recommend myself:
Christian did an exceptional job on the recent project. Christian is a detail oriented, innovative and careful perfectionist - his ideas, skills, creativity and understanding of change requests made the project a dream. He has an extensive knowledge, and his open-minded approach could not be overestimated. He denotes a strong experience in areas such as project management and software architecture.
That's better than I could do! The fact that the grammar is not perfect makes the business-speak even better.

This generator is great for the recommendation I've been blowing off because I couldn't think of anything positive to say, yet felt I had to return a favor. At least now I can say something vaguely vanilla/generic without wasting an hour trying!

Hmph. Seems to only generate recommendations for males.

Interesting but how about just saying that someone did a good job and you were pleased with the results?

How sad! I used to only believe the recommendations that had typos and bad grammar. Now I trust those even less. Of course it is kind of useful to know that I can easily recommend myself ...

thank you to poster number 5. We tried the generating one for our director with added cute factor which resulted in us all spending 10 mins rolling about the floor laughing.
