As I was compiling my banner ad design showcase I was struck by the variety of call to action (CTA) wording on the different ads. Thankfully, the traditional, weak "Learn More" was virtually nowhere to be seen.
Based on these and other CTA best practices (see my button design showcase for more examples), here is a collection of call to action examples that you can use to improve your conversion rates on banners, emails, landing pages, and buttons just about anywhere.
Of course, there are multiple variants on each of these examples, and you can experiment with capitalization and adding exclamation points to signify additional urgency.
If you have room, it can also be a good idea to include a secondary message below the main call to action to reinforce your message. For example:
Sign Up Today!
No credit card required.
If you can think of any other good call to action examples, please let me know in the comments.

Hey would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re utilizing? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good internet hosting provider at a honest price? Thank you,I appreciate it!

That certainly is a lot of different ways to draw attention. And when comparing it to the 'learn more' CTA, it is evident in a way to why. 'Learn more' just sounds like extra unnecessary work is being required. Anyhow, I like how concise this insight is.

Is it just me? I hate the term "Call to Action" CTA I just call it by whatever function or whatever I feel like calling it on the day just to confuse people.
